- Stay in New Jersey - When visiting New York City it is much cheaper to stay in New Jersey and take the metro or bus into the city. We save approximately 50% on our lodging in New Jersey compared to New York City.
- NJ PATH - If you are staying in New Jersey and if you are close to the PATH metro it is a very convenient and cost effective way to get into the city. They offer many different options for passes.

- MTA Card - When in NYC the most convenient way to get around is to use the Metro and/or buses. You can purchase an MTA card which provides a week of unlimited rides on the metro and buses for a very reasonable price. If you don't need a week you can purchase individual fares.

- The New York Pass - During our latest trip to NYC in October 2021 we took advantage of the New York Pass. This is a great pass if you plan to take advantage of many of the offerings. We were able to save approximately 55% by using this pass compared to the retail price. This pass is ideal for a packed itinerary.

- Broadway Shows - If you love to see Broadway shows, we recommend you check for tickets at TKTS booths. You can get discounted tickets for same day shows. There are two booths in NYC. One in Times Square and one in Lincoln Center.
